NEIGHBORHOOD SALON LUMINARIES
“The Neighborhood Salon is a gathering of Boston’s select cultural leaders and tastemakers whose work and agency impacts and inspires the Gardner Museum and its neighbor.”
Together with the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum’s marketing team, we curated a social series of Instagram posts to start a conversation and highlight the impact, projects & personal practice of the luminaries. Modeled after Isabella Stewart Gardner’s legacy as a curator and hostess of artist salons around the turn of the century, the primary goal of the Neighborhood Salon is to exchange creative ideas and dialogue with Boston’s most innovative and thoughtful luminaries as a means of informing programming at the Gardner.
“We really, really valued your creativity, collaborative spirit, and professionalism -- and also your flexibility (and patience) -- throughout this new process for the museum. Everyone loved your designs and the digital hashtag mosaic was unbelievably unique and popular.”

Olivia is recognized as a cultural leader, arts influencers and tastemaker whose work and agency impacts and inspires the creative, educational, social landscape of the Museum.
Similar to Isabella Stewart Gardner herself, Olivia approaches her work with a default sense of freshness, creativity, and outside-the-box thinking so needed in an institution such as the Gardner; in fact for Olivia, there is never a “box” holding her back.
Henry James once described Isabella Stewart Gardner as not just a woman, but a “locomotive.” Similarly, Olivia is at once full of energy and determination but also incredibly professional and polished. For me, her contagious enthusiasm for bringing individuals together through art and aesthetic experiences in new and exciting ways provides a refreshing break from museum programming norms. She continuously goes beyond the expected and challenges herself and others to perform at the highest level.
